Verify installation, Bambu P1P, P1S, P2S, X1C

This is the P / X series side of the verify-installation step. The P / X board doesn’t auto-test on boot — instead there’s a manual test sequence you trigger via the outer door button.

  1. Power up the printer (AMS cable connected back to the FarmLoop board).
  2. Wait for the 3 quick LED blinks — normal boot.
  3. Long-press the outer door button (the one on the tilted foot, marked with the FarmLoop logo) for 3+ seconds to enter test mode.
  4. The system runs through every hardware element in order:
    • Door actuator opens the printer door
    • Door actuator closes the door
    • Bender extends to the push position and retracts
    • (If installed) Fan spins for a moment
    • Returns to idle

You should see and hear each element run in sequence. If any one is silent or sluggish, you’ve found your problem.

If the door button doesn’t trigger the test

Section titled “If the door button doesn’t trigger the test”
  • LED shows the 3-quick-blink boot pattern? The board is alive. Check the door-button wiring, it’s a 2-wire connector on the PCB.
  • LED never shows 3-quick-blinks? Power isn’t reaching the board — check AMS cable seating, swap USB-C cable.
  • LED shows 4 long blinks? That’s an MQTT failure (from Wi-Fi config), not a problem for component testing — you can ignore it during this step.

For full reference on all button gestures, see Operation, P/X series assembly.

Long-press triggers the full door → door → bender → fan sequence on demand. If so, move on to the Activation test print — a real G-code that exercises the full end-to-end flow including cool-down timing and actual eject.
