FarmClass, FarmTools and Discord

Everything that used to live in the Skool community now sits inside the FarmLoop app, next to the processing you already use:

  • FarmClass, the classrooms: how to start, grow and run a print farm.
  • FarmTools, the tools: pricing, a print quality check and a maintenance tracker.
  • Discord, the community: questions, wins and feature requests.

There is nothing extra to buy. What you can open follows your FarmLoop plan.

Log in at app.3d-farmers.com. The Dashboard is the first page you see. It shows the FarmLoop App, your tools, your classrooms, the Discord community and your plan. FarmClass and FarmTools are also in the left-hand menu.

A classroom or tool your plan doesn’t include still shows up, with a lock and the plan that opens it.

FarmClass follows the FarmLayer Roadmap, five layers from your first printer to a print business: 0 Dreamer, 1 Explorer, 2 Builder, 3 Scaler and 4 Enterprise. Each classroom belongs to one layer.

The app always shows the current lock on each classroom; this list can lag behind it. Start with Start here, the first lesson of the FarmLayer Roadmap.

Lesson downloads (PDF templates, ZIP files, Fusion 360 files) follow the same plan as the lesson they’re in.

  • Pricing calculator: the cost and the selling price of a print. It also opens from the FarmLoop App. Lite gets the basic version; Pro and Business get the full one, with shipping and fulfilment costs.
  • Print quality check (beta, Pro): drop a sliced plate and see the quality risks, the cost and the speed headroom before you print.
  • Maintenance tracker (Business): every printer’s runtime, next maintenance and repairs in one place. You can import the Excel maintenance tracker from the old Skool classroom, and export to CSV.
  • Automatic Maintenance Codes (Business): the classroom on maintenance G-code, listed with the tools.

The Discord server is for FarmLoop accounts, the free Lite plan included. You join it from the app: connect your FarmLoop account on the Dashboard.

#feature-requests is a forum: one post per idea, vote with 👍 on the ideas you want. We tag each post with its status (Under review, Planned, In progress, Shipped, Not planned).

Skool members who move to FarmLoop also get the Founding Member role.

Connecting your FarmLoop account is how you join the server, and it opens the channels of your plan. It takes one click:

  1. Log in at app.3d-farmers.com and open the Dashboard. Business members also find the button on the Business page.
  2. Under Community, click Connect Discord.
  3. Discord asks you to allow FarmLoop to see your Discord username and to add you to the server. Click Authorize.
  4. You’re back on the Dashboard. You’re on the server with the channels of your plan; if you weren’t on the server yet, you’ve joined it.

Your channels then follow your plan by themselves:

  • Upgrade: the new channels appear within seconds.
  • Cancel: the plan’s channels go away when your paid period ends. You stay on the server with the open channels.
  • Disconnect (on the same card): the plan’s channels go away straight away. You stay on the server.

One Discord account belongs to one FarmLoop account. Connecting a Discord account that was linked to another FarmLoop account moves the link to yours.

  • Check the Dashboard card. It should say “Connected as” and your Discord name. If it says you’re not on the server anymore, click Connect Discord again.
  • Check the Discord account. Discord connects the account you’re logged in with in that browser. If you use more than one, log in with the right one on discord.com first, then connect again.
  • Reload Discord. New channels can take a restart of the Discord app to appear.

Still missing? Contact us with the email of your FarmLoop account and your Discord username. We can’t add Discord roles by hand: the bot keeps the roles in line with the plans and removes any role no FarmLoop account backs.
