Verify installation, Bambu H2S, H2D, H2C

This is the H series side of the verify-installation step. Like the P / X series, the H series board doesn’t auto-test on boot - instead there’s a manual test sequence you trigger via the outer door button. The difference: the H series kit has two benders and no fan, so the test drives both benders.

  • The FarmBoard 3 runs the latest H series firmware from the Firmware page - choose Bambu H series in the picker.
  • Both benders, the door opener and the door button are connected, per your assembly guide: H2S, H2D, or H2C.
  1. Power up the printer with the FarmBoard connected.
  2. Wait for the 3 quick LED blinks - normal boot.
  3. Long-press the outer door button (the one on the tilted foot, marked with the FarmLoop logo) for 3+ seconds to enter test mode.
  4. The system runs through every hardware element in order:
    • Bender 1 extends and retracts
    • Bender 2 extends and retracts
    • Door actuator opens the printer door
    • Door actuator closes the door
    • Returns to idle

You should see and hear each element run in sequence. If any one is silent or sluggish, you’ve found your problem.

If the door button doesn’t trigger the test

Section titled “If the door button doesn’t trigger the test”
  • LED shows the 3-quick-blink boot pattern? The board is alive. Check the door-button wiring, it’s a 2-wire connector on the PCB.
  • LED never shows 3-quick-blinks? Power isn’t reaching the board - check the power cable seating, swap USB-C cable.
  • LED shows 4 long blinks? That’s an MQTT failure (from Wi-Fi config), not a problem for component testing - you can ignore it during this step.

If Bender 1 and the door run but Bender 2 stays still, the board is running as a P/X kit instead of an H series kit.

The FarmBoard 3 recognises the H kit by itself at power-on, by checking what’s plugged into the fan port. If it can’t tell, it refuses to bend and the board page says “Set the printer model first”.

  1. Check that Bender 2 is firmly plugged into the fan port - a loose plug can make detection unsure - then power-cycle the board.
  2. If it still doesn’t move, open the board page, set the Printer Model to your H2S, H2D or H2C, and press Save. A model you set by hand always wins over the automatic detection.
  3. If the printer model is right and Bender 2 still doesn’t move, check its cable at the wire harness.

For full reference on all button gestures, see the Operation section of your assembly guide: H2S, H2D, or H2C.

Long-press triggers the full bender 1 → bender 2 → door sequence on demand. If so, move on to the Activation test print - a real G-code that exercises the full end-to-end flow including cool-down timing and actual eject.

  • Missing a component response? Re-check the wiring against your assembly guide: H2S, H2D, or H2C
